We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Software Support Engineer to support, coach, and train development teams on software engineering best practices, QA processes, deployment tooling, and application lifecycle management tools.
The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in software support engineering, DevOps, QA methodologies, requirements management, and infrastructure technologies, while also demonstrating excellent communication and training capabilities.
This role will play a key part in supporting engineering teams, managing incidents, maintaining CI/CD environments, and leading migration and tooling initiatives across enterprise environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesQA Processes, Coaching & Training- Coach engineering and QA teams on industry-standard QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops on engineering tools and software development practices.
- Provide guidance on requirements engineering processes and quality assurance frameworks.
- Support teams in adopting and improving software lifecycle management practices.
Engineering Tools & Requirements Management- Administer, support, and optimize engineering tools including Polarion, DOORS, Pure::Variant, Jira, GitLab, Artifactory, and Confluence.
- Support migration activities from legacy environments (e.g., DOORS/VIVALDI to Polarion).
- Work with ReqIF formats and design/maintain DXL scripts.
- Ensure proper integration and usage of engineering and requirements management tools.
Incident & Technical Support- Manage and resolve technical incidents affecting engineering platforms and development environments.
- Provide advanced technical support to development teams.
- Assist developers in integrating and addressing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) during application development.
- Troubleshoot application delivery, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues.
DevOps & Deployment Processes- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable, and frequent software deliveries.
- Support deployment tooling and automated infrastructure processes.
- Contribute to Agile Scrum delivery environments and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deployment stability and operational efficiency.
Infrastructure & Systems Support- Understand and support IT infrastructure architectures compliant with company standards and client requirements.
- Support environments running on Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Work with network protocols and infrastructure services including HTTPS, SSH, SMTP, DNS, Web Servers, Reverse Proxies, Caching Servers, and Active Directory.
Required Technical Skills- Strong expertise in QA processes and software quality practices.
- Significant hands-on experience implementing and supporting QA and requirements management tools.
- Knowledge of Polarion, DOORS, Pure::Variant, ReqIF, and DXL scripting.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jira, Artifactory, Confluence, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux administration (RHEL preferred), network protocols, and enterprise infrastructure environments.

Education & Experience- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software support engineering, DevOps, QA tooling, or engineering platform support roles.
