About the Department:
The Development & Support team builds and supports the technology that powers ClearBridge Investments’ global research, investment, and operational functions. The team works closely with engineers and stakeholders across New York and other global offices to deliver reliable platforms and continuous improvements. Team members collaborate openly, learn from one another, and gain exposure to mission‑critical financial systems, modern cloud technologies, and enterprise-scale architectures.
Production Support & Reliability:
You will:
Monitor systems and act quickly to maintain service availability.
Troubleshoot incidents and restore services with minimal disruption.
Analyze recurring issues and help implement root‑cause fixes.
Perform routine maintenance and share timely updates during outages.
Maintain clear documentation and support materials.
Application Development & Integration:
Support system analysis and application design activities.
Build integrations, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and automations across cloud and on‑premises systems.
Configure and enhance software components and batch processes.
Test and refine application logic and web services.
Performance, Optimization & Improvement:
Identify and resolve performance issues across applications and databases.
Validate new releases to ensure stability and scalability.
Support initiatives that improve reliability and user experience.
Produce technical specifications and design documentation.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
3+ years of software development experience.
Strong skills in Java or C#.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑native integration tools.
Knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and related technologies.
Familiarity with front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong SQL and experience with Object‑Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
Preferred:
Experience in financial‑services technology.
Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps tools.
Understanding of observability and monitoring platforms.
