We’re looking for a dedicated Support Analyst to join our IT Security & Operations team in Brisbane. In this key role, you’ll be the backbone of our IT environment, blending hands on end-user support with the vital administrative and operational tasks that keep our systems secure and reliable.

With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include: 

  • Provide first-line support to employees, resolving low- to medium-complexity incidents and service requests across Microsoft 365, Windows devices, and standard business applications, in line with agreed SLAs. 

  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, group memberships, and system access, ensuring all requests are processed in line with security, compliance, and governance requirements. 

  • Perform routine operational checks (e.g. system health dashboards, backups, alerts), identify issues early, and escalate to senior team members or specialist teams when required. 

  • Process IT invoices, purchase orders, vendor quotations, and cost allocations, and liaise with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records. 

  • Maintain IT asset registers, track equipment through its lifecycle, support software licence renewals and entitlements, and assist with maintaining system and process documentation. 

  • Support internal and external audits by gathering evidence, maintaining audit-ready records, conducting user access reviews, and ensuring compliance with Shell control frameworks, policies, and governance standards. 

 

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role: 

  •  Experience in a service desk or desktop support environment with the ability to confidently support end users, manage tickets, and deliver a positive customer experience. 

  • Strong administrative and documentation skills including experience with record-keeping, asset registers, invoicing, purchasing, or similar operational administration tasks. 

  • Sound understanding of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments with basic troubleshooting capability across common end-user technologies. 

  • Attention to detail and compliance mindset particularly when working with access controls, audit documentation, financial records, and governance processes. 

  • Ability to manage competing priorities. Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment while balancing technical support and administrative responsibilities. 

  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively with business users, IT colleagues, vendors, and audit partners.
