CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Plan and control all Master Production Scheduling activities for assigned plants, and when required, personally master schedule one or more plants to meet business needs. 
  • Balance production and inventory requirements to achieve service level targets, inventory turn goals, and optimal capacity utilization. 
  • Drive capacity planning by proactively identifying constraints and assisting Operations or Sourcing to implement corrective actions such as overtime, equipment adjustments, expedited processes, production help, or resourcing. 
  • Provide strategic input to support the Region’s monthly flash and annual budget processes, directly impacting finished goods and raw material inventories, transportation, and overall supply chain costs. 
  • Lead the Available-to-Promise (ATP) process during supply shortage situations, coordinating cross-functional discussions among Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to drive production prioritization, order allocation, and customer fulfillment decisions 
  • Act as the primary Industrial Supply representative within USCA Packaging IBP governance processes, driving alignment across commercial, operational, and supply chain teams to support business objectives and optimize supply performance

Travel Requirement: Up to 10%

This role is not remote/ hybrid and will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years’ experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Customer Service, or Operations
  • Expertise in Master Production Scheduling across multiple plants. 
  • Strong knowledge of BoB or BIOS ERP tools, including but not limited to Blue Yonder, Oracle, AOM, QAD, MES, BI4, OTBI and Tableau reporting. 
  • Ability to analyze production constraints and develop optimized scheduling solutions to meet service level, inventory, and capacity goals. 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for complex scenario planning 
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements or system enhancements 
  • Leadership and coaching capabilities to manage, develop, and mentor and team of schedulers to foster a high-performance culture
  • Strong decision-making skills, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain or related field 
  • 5+ years in a manager or supervisory capacity 
  • Six Sigma, Lean and Continuous Improvement experience
  • Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry.
