The Supply Planner will be responsible for configuring planning systems to meet business objectives. In this role, you will assist the creation of master production schedules and inventory plans, manage inventories, and ensure accurate supply at distribution centers. You will also develop deployment strategies and configure deployment of planning systems to improve cost efficiency and reduce unsaleables. Additionally, you will communicate supply needs across supply chain teams and provide expertise on inventory processes for business units.

A Day in the Life...

• ​​Define finite daily production schedule and capabilities (changeovers, sequencing, sanitation, performance)​.
• ​​Establish aligned plant capacity such as rates and calendars. Communicate attainment to plan and adjustments​.
• ​​Responsible for attainment of master production plan. Establishes baseline criteria. Working with corporate Sr. Supply Planner for optimal schedule development and alignment​.
• ​​Support planning process and effective utilization of tools required​.
• ​​Facilitate meetings for key plant and corporate resources to ensure engaged alignment to plan development and execution​.
• ​​Provide leadership to resources in inventory management, specifically material cycle counting and physical inventory planning. Act as resource on maintenance of WMS and Red Prairie​.
• ​​Manage materials to include the disposition process for obsolete materials, new production introductions, inventory turn targets, warehouse capacity analysis, material storage optimizations, FIFO, etc.​
• ​​Supervise support roles in planning to ensure planning objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner according to specification​.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience in manufacturing or plant supply chain​
• ​​Excellent communication skills​
• ​​Problem solving abilities​
• ​​Understanding of inventory strategies LIFO, FIFO, etc.​
• ​​Computer skills (MS Office)​
• ​​Inventory Management system (SAP)​

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 5 Years of Experience
