Job title: Supply Planner 

Location: Agecroft Factory, Salford

Contract type: Permanent

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our team. If you have experience with SAP APO, a passion for continuous improvement, and a strong analytical mindset, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning of finished goods and materials across both in-house and third-party production. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams across departments, building strong relationships to drive efficiency, solve problems, and keep things moving.

This role offers the opportunity to refine existing planning processes, improve efficiency, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will involve areas in Production Scheduling and Material Planning:

Production Scheduling:

• Short term production scheduling
• Mid and long term production scheduling
• Copack planning (production of finished products which are transformed by a third party prior to sale)
• Intercompany scheduling and shipments
• Innovation including Ramp Up Planning, Masterdata set up and Obsoletes Management
• Root cause analysis and process improvements
• Customer service risk management
• Inventory optimisation
• Factory clearance and pallet replenishment
• Capacity planning

Material Planning:

• Ordering and calling off materials
• Issue forecasts to material suppliers
• Inventory management
• Risk management
• Obsoletes management
• Root cause analysis and implement process improvements to improve material resilience
• Build strong relationships with suppliers

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Experience in production planning using SAP-APO for production planning over short, mid and long term horizon
• Experience in an industry with similar portfolio complexity
• Advanced IT skills, including SAP and Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to analyse and interpret data effectively
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks
