SUMMARY
The Supply Planner is responsible for balancing supply and demand to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs. This role develops and executes supply plans, collaborates cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and demand, and supports operational performance through data-driven decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and production capacity.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to manage material flow and resolve supply constraints.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and capacity utilization.
- Identify risks to supply continuity and implement mitigation plans.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes through scenario analysis and reporting.
- Manage replenishment planning and inventory optimization strategies.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage planning parameters and execute planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within planning and supply chain operations.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis RapidResponse, or Oracle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
