Job Summary:
The Soybean Supply Planner role works as a partner to the GDM branded businesses by facilitating communication and data translation between the sales organization and soybean production teams. This role is responsible for stewarding commercial demand and product lifecycle strategies to create executable supply plans. The position plays a critical role in aligning supply chain operations with commercial business objectives, ensuring customer demand positions are met while supporting inventory risk, logistics, and service performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze customer sales and supply data to refine soybean supply plans. Prepare and/or maintain reports associated with forecasting, allocations, inventory status, and sales performance.
- Ability to provide production run priority to operational stakeholders based on sales demand and plant capacity.
- Monitor and report changes regarding sales forecasts, inventory status, budgets, and strategic partner planning.
- Collaborate with sales support staff and supply chain operations to track inventory metrics, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and assist adjacent teams to initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in regular business meetings and provide updates for soybean supply based on the commercial crop cycle calendar.
- Conduct daily activities with a spirit of continuous improvement for both current and long-term operations strategies.
- Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and recommend next steps.
- Research discrepancies between multiple data sources and identify root cause analysis.
- Responsible for meeting corporate deadlines for assigned duties.
- Participate in strategic planning and annual review of processes with business partners.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective planning and priority setting.
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) years’ experience in logistics and supply chain processes is preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Some overnight travel required.
