The RoleAs we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Planner/ Buyer II. The Planner/ Buyer II will be responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels. This position is responsible for prioritizing production requirements and coordinating the flow of materials to meet production schedules.
This position is onsite in Rochester, NY.
Schedule: This is primarily a 1st shift position
The ResponsibilitiesDevelop supply plan (MPS) in order to align manufacturing capacity with sales demand, while working to optimize inventory levels.
Review the planned orders schedule for multiple stages of manufacturing and create firm orders within the frozen period (MRP).
Work with Manufacturing and Quality team to ensure orders are completed on time and in full or rescheduled within constrained situations.
Partner with Buyers to ensure raw material availability for production requirements.
Monitor WIP materials for upcoming expiration and mitigate scrap.
Update schedules for planned downtime in production for maintenance, holidays or other events.
Drive S&OP discussion and highlight potential supply risk to business.
Work with Warehouse to coordinate outbound shipment schedules.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant fields or related experience in the field.
3-4 years of related experience in Supply Chain.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
High Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel.
Ability to work well with a team.
Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.

APICS CPIM Certification
Internal: Operations, Product Support, Quality, QA Incoming , Warehouse, Network Planning, Demand Team

The Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics are representative of an office, manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues and samples. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.
