The CS Supply Planner will be the point of contact for spares requests made by our CFC Engineering Operations team globally.
This role is tasked with owning those requests until closure in line with internal KPIs.
This role will ensure timely deliveries to those CFCs by expediting shipments from suppliers and co-ordinating the pick and despatch schedule with the regional stores facility, including logistic arrangements.
You will be responsible for managing Sales orders, Quotations, purchase orders, dealing with suppliers, monitoring supply and demand.
Expectations of the role are that you will work autonomously within established procedures, but be able to support the development of innovative solutions to complex problems / new tools.
What you will be doing
- End to end management of a wide and complex variety of spares requests ensuring that the client is kept updated with detailed shipment information
- Ensure clients requests are responded to and handled in line with agreed KPIs
- Processing of client requests to maximise value from expenditure to 3PL
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure all aligned to same processes
- Purchasing stock to meet client and central demands selecting the suppliers that offers the best cost / lead time solution
- Preparation of export documents to enable clearance of goods through customs for international clients
- Maintain a variety of complex SKU data within Ocado & 3PL data systems
- Update MRP systems with key inventory & shipment information from multiple data sources
- Follow up with suppliers and expedite shipments where required
- Monitor supply and demand, rescheduling deliveries where appropriate
- Lead the team where necessary on complex tasks that are often defined as routine
- Deal directly with 3PL and 2PL providers
- Manage MRO replenishment at allocated CFC
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures
- Analyse complex technical drawings for part data, using engineering software
About you
- Previous knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures in a spares/service environment
- Knowledge of an ERP system would be a distinct advantage
- Use and experience of a computerised stock control system
- Excellent communication skills are required at all levels; both verbally and written
- High level of computer literacy including Google Suite of products
- Extensive knowledge of Excel / Google sheets
- Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced environment
