The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is a Department of War (DoW) organization focused exclusively on accelerating the adoption of commercial technology throughout the military and growing the national security innovation base. As the Department’s gateway to leading technology companies across the country, DIU is focused on rapid prototyping, fielding, and scaling of commercial solutions that can save lives, lead to new operational concepts, increase efficiency, and save taxpayer dollars.
DIU has a variety of missions which bring academic and private sector solutions to national security problems. To accomplish this mission, we seek a wide variety of backgrounds including military experience, high technology product development and leadership, operations expertise, and general program management experience.
Federal Civilian Position (NH-03 / GS12-13) - Supply Management Officer:
Serves as the Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) senior subject matter expert and principal architect for all aspects of government property management. This position is responsible for independently establishing, implementing, and managing DIU's first-ever organic property accountability program. The incumbent will manage the full lifecycle of accountable government assets, including program development, lifecycle accountability, and audit and compliance functions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures, providing expert technical and financial advice, and managing a centralized property management system. Positions may be located in Mountain View, CA or in the National Capital Region.

Skills Required
- Experience establishing and managing government property accountability programs
