As a Supply Chain Team Lead at IDEXX, you will oversee forklift operations and lead a team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping products to international customers and regional distribution centers across the globe. Your focus will be on ensuring inventory accuracy, safe and efficient forklift use, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. In this leadership role, you will support high-quality animal diagnostic devices used by veterinarians worldwide.
You will work in a welcoming and organized space with a steady schedule and a collaborative team!
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Sunday 7:00am - 3:00pm
What you’ll do:
Supervising and training team members operating Power Industrial Equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.)
Leading daily work activities, providing coaching, guidance, and clear communication on business priorities
Overseeing cycle counting of products and off-site storage movements both inbound and outbound—including documentation accuracy and process efficiency
Monitoring the counting of materials from cold storage areas and ambient temperature zones
Troubleshooting and resolving operational and logistical issues across warehouse functions
Ensuring timely resolution of short-picked products and performing inventory pulls between IDEXX facilities
Supporting inventory control strategies, performing cycle counts, data entry, and reconciling discrepancies
Coordinating equipment and inventory movements for internal and external customers
Collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements in materials management processes
Maintaining high standards for cleanliness, safety, and organization within the warehouse
Operating forklifts as part of daily workflow, modeling safety and best practices
What you will need to succeed:
Previous experience operating forklifts and leading warehouse or distribution teams
Proven ability to communicate effectively with direct reports and prioritize urgent matters with a high sense of urgency
Familiarity with Workday, Excel, Outlook, and SAP
A High School diploma (or equivalent) and experience in a related supply chain or logistics role
Self-directed, assertive, flexible, and willing to learn—these qualities are key to success in this role
Ability to work independently and lead others with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
Certification to handle hazardous materials (or willingness to obtain if needed)
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational habits, and a safety-first mindset
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills that build trust across teams
Physical Demands:
Standing for 2+ hours, sitting, computer and phone use
Extended reach, occasional lifting up to 70 lbs, kneeling or bending
Specific vision requirements: close range, color perception, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
