HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time Supply Chain Supervisor.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Supervise/manage the daily operations of the Supply Chain department. This includes distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and support services such as courier services, mail, fleet maintenance, warehouse inventory and shipping and receiving. Performs other duties as assigned which may be interdepartmental or organizational wide in scope.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for the supervision of staff, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains meaningful quality indicators for service levels. Promotes and utilizes value analysis and quality management principles.
Supervise and continually improve the operations of the courier team.
Work with maintenance vendor to keep our vehicle fleet safe and operational
Create and post weekly schedules and maintain a future schedule for planning purposes
Completes inventory cycling counting.
Develops practices and procedures to implement Supply Chain policies set by the department.
Provides input to the budget development and monitors the budget of assigned cost centers.
Identifies, develops, and implements corrective action for service problems associated with all areas of responsibility.
Develops and monitors departmental goals to meet the overall Supply Chain operational plan.
Coordinates staffing and resources to ensure that service levels are met or exceeded for all areas of responsibility.
Maintains consistent communication with customers.
Coordinates and administers an orientation program for new employees. Reviews and updates training materials as required to meet OSHA requirements.
Maintains competency standards for staff and ensures that staff are in-serviced on a regular basis to meet the minimum requirements.
Develops and implements reports from department information systems as required to provide performance reporting to management and customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree or comparable work experience.
At least three years experience in a materials management. Prefer two years experience in supervising a large diverse workforce. Prefer prior experience in logistics / distribution / supervision, fleet management and/or plant operations.
Knowledge of common business principles and practices.
Knowledge of policy and procedure development and problem solving.
Ability to develop and implement a plan to meet established departmental goals.
Ability to manage multiple work groups, responds to scheduled, unscheduled, and emergent workloads to meet customer expectations.
Ability to communicate with end users to identify expectations and to implement processes and procedures to meet those expectations.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with all levels of staff and vendors to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
Ability to manage PC based systems and software for departmental applications.
Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, delegate responsibilities to establish and meet short/long term goals.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Current and valid Driver's License.
Able to pass D.O.T. physical.
Ability to comply with safety instructions, observe safe work practices, provide input on safety issues and promote a safe work environment.
DIMENSION:
Supervises/manages 10 - 20 FTE’s comprised of Material Handling/Distribution Worker. May be responsible for up to a million-dollar budget over one or multiple cost centers. Budget responsibilities include adherence to established budget guidelines and variance explanations for budget variances. Develops and implements departmental reporting mechanisms for senior department management. Maintains staff records to include performance reviews and corrective actions on a consistent basis.
