As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will supervise day-to-day activities for a business unit within our fast-paced Memphis Distribution Center. You will contribute to the development of the business unit’s operating policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, communication, team building and critical thinking skills.
Schedule: This is a full-time, 2nd shift position with a regular weekly schedule of Sunday-Thursday 3PM - 11:30PM.
In this role you will:

You will oversee day to day activities through managing a team of customer support and logistics professionals

You will manage, coordinate and improve the domestic shipping process.

You will manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development.

You will maintain proper staffing levels, scheduling and organizing work assignments within the department, while adhering to company policies and procedures.

You will monitor quality and compliance may recommend and implement changes as needed.
-
You will support and implement short- and long-term distribution strategies.
-
You will solve problems independently and as part of a team.
-
You will strive for the most efficient methods in all areas of the operation.

You will be supportive of the organization’s direction and goals as well as participate in the on-going strategy and priority setting with the distribution center.
What you will need to succeed
-
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Supervisory skills and ability, typically 2-3 years previous experience.
-
Ability to organize, prioritize and direct work activities.
-
Experience with the operations, products and services in the area supervised.
-
Customer service skills, with experience working with customers (internal and/or external) and maintaining good customer relationships.

Reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
-
Project management skills and abilities.
-
Communication skills, both verbal and written.
-
Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands

Extensive sitting, standing and computer use.

Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.

Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.

May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.

Fluency in the English language

Some travel required.

Some positions may work with exposed moving electro-mechanical parts and may require proper protective equipment.

May work for a period of time in cold room environments from 41 degrees or below.
