The Role
Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a Summer Associate to support our Supply Chain Team. This team manages logistics, supplier relationships and overall supply chain performance throughout the organization. As a member of the team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across procurement, engineering, development, operations and finance to improve processes and drive key research.
Summer Associates will split their time between a 12-week long strategic project and serving as a member of the team. Potential projects may include market/research trends, conducting key reports, and overall supply chain performance in the context of the fast-growing solar and storage industry.
An effective candidate for all open roles will demonstrate sound industry and supply chain knowledge, superior leadership and communication skills, the ability to focus on minute details while still seeing the big picture, detailed organization, a desire to solve complex problems, initiative, strong quantitative modeling skills and an excellent ability to work across multiple teams.
Duties and Responsibilities May Include:
- Partner with Supply Chain leads to refine and focus strategy through quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Conduct in-depth research on macro-level supply chain trends.
- Provide data-driven recommendations on how to adapt the company’s supply chain processes to respond to evolving market conditions.
- Support the creation of risk mitigation strategies by identifying potential disruptions and helping the company prepare for future challenges.
- Work cross functionally with project development, finance, operations and analytics teams to leverage data systems
- Support assigned team with day-to-day business activities
Qualifications
- Current 1st year (or 2nd year in dual degree program) graduate student with a focus on Supply Chain, Operations or Sustainability (MBA, MEM, MPP, etc)
- BA/BS degree, preferably in a relevant field such as supply chain management, engineering, environmental studies, etc.
- Demonstrated interest in energy sector, particularly solar PV and energy storage
- Experience or coursework in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or operations, ideally with exposure to renewable energy.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Creative problem-solving and ability to work with ambiguity
- Ability to collaborate between multiple departments with varying priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Location: Preferably a candidate will be based near the Santa Monica office and able to go into the office on a hybrid schedule.
Compensation: The hourly rate for our Graduate/MBA internships is $30-$35/hr.
