Summary
Supply Chain Specialist serves as a critical liaison between international suppliers/partners/third-party manufacturers, internal stakeholders, and customers, ensuring seamless operations while maintaining financial integrity. This role requires strategic oversight of the end-to-end supply chain, proactive financial management, and the ability to drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.What You'll Do
- Manage comprehensive documentation workflows for outbound shipments, cross-border transfers, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to customs requirements and delivery timelines using established procedures.
- Execute performance monitoring protocols to track shipment accuracy, on-time delivery metrics, and service level agreements, implementing corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Oversee ordering and forecasting of raw materials and/or finished goods by issuing purchase orders and planning documentation, while managing inventories to ensure continuous delivery of finished products to customers and avoiding aged inventory.
- Ensure order accuracy and forecast demand planning integrity by maintaining 100% alignment between customer forecasts and actual orders; recognizing the critical impact on financial performance, working capital management, and supplier production planning.
- Support commercial activities by strategically evaluating customer and affiliate demand, negotiating with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, leading root cause analysis for operational challenges, and driving cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain effectiveness.
What You'll Need
- Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- 2-5 years of experience in business, administration, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
- Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Transportation — Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits preferred.
