Position Summary:
The Specialist, Supply Chain is responsible for coordinating and executing domestic and international shipments of commercial, clinical, and development materials in support of Travere's global operations. This role ensures compliant and timely movement of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Drug Product (DP), commercial product, and research materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting GMP supply chain operations. The ideal candidate has experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology logistics, import/export compliance, cold chain transportation, and inventory management within a regulated environment. This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of APIs, drug products, commercial product, clinical supplies, and research materials.
- Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation to ensure compliant movement of materials across global markets.
- Independently monitor shipments from origin to destination, investigate routine-to-moderately complex transportation issues, coordinate appropriate corrective actions with logistics providers, and proactively escalate significant risks that may affect timing of material availability, product quality, or create possible supply disruptions.
- Coordinate activities with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and other logistics service providers.
- Ensure shipments meet applicable GMP, GDP, and company requirements.
- Monitor temperature-controlled shipments and escalate transportation deviations or temperature excursions as required.
- Monitor inventory levels of APIs, drug products, and critical supply chain materials.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory accuracy and material availability.
- Maintain complete and accurate shipment, inventory, and logistics records to support traceability, audits, and regulatory or quality requirements.
- Additional duties assigned as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain and/or procurement.
- Experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.

- NetSuite software experience a plus.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to travel 5% domestically and internationally.
- All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.
Target Base Pay Range:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00*This information is current as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and location.
