As a Supply Chain Specialist Sr., you will apply fundamental judgment and evaluation to support our procurement processes while you build and maintain internal customer and vendor relationships to meet the business need!

Responsibilities/Expectations:- Performs multifaceted tasks and projects of diverse complexity requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Leads procurement or contracting efforts by presenting contracting/resourcing ideas, strategies for negotiation, problem solving sessions, and identifies external environmental trends
- Handles requisition traffic and procures quality materials/equipment in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures
- Coordinates communication between internal customers and vendors
- Reviews contract, purchasing and outsourcing candidates to decide on the most favorable contract pricing arrangement
- Initiates and participates in contract risk assessments (e.g., reviews of non-standard contracts) with corporate legal and risk management groups
- Analyzes and reports on market conditions and identifies competitive opportunities to initiate competitive bid process; coordinates and facilitates pre-competitive meetings and provides input to bid awards
- Monitors industry and market trends to assist with business decision making
- Finds opportunities to implement outstanding strategic purchasing methodology to the organization
- Identifies competitive opportunities in daily procurement activities using established purchasing guidelines
- Mentors and coaches others
- Applies influence without authority in moderate to complex project meetings and with management, with no assistance from supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High School diploma/GED and a minimum eight (8) years' related experience
- Preferred: Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a technical field
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Able to persuade others to support position or recommendations
- Able to negotiate effectively for needed resources
- Capable of identifying and acquiring resources (e.g., funding, equipment, support) needed to accomplish assignments
- Capable of completing work with little supervision
- Finds ways to get work done within limited resources
- Recognizes cues that suggest a change in approach or behavior is needed
- Able to adapt to change and opportunities per business needs
- Moderate to proficient knowledge of majority of products/services that are regularly used in the energy Industry
