Purpose Statement: This position is focused on driving improvements for procurement of materials and services. Deliverables range from streamlining the overall supply base, managing material cost through negotiated strategic buying agreements and PPV metrics, analyzing supply chain data, optimizing operational processes, managing supplier KPIs, supplier performance management, inventory/working capital optimization, freight cost optimization and streamlining procurement administration costs through implementation of lean principles and tools.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to design and implement supply chain strategies that optimize inventory levels, reduce lead time, and minimize risk.
- Monitor and interpret Plexus Supply Chain Risk Management tools to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in utilization of Plexus Supply Chain Risk Management tools, providing training and guidance to sites/region.
- Participate in the development of system enhancements to support Supply Chain Operations, including user testing and troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage supplier executive relationships, and participate in the implementation of Supply Chain initiatives strategies on procurement at the site level.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain discipline preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain analysis, commodity sourcing, and procurement, preferably in a similar combined role.
Physical Requirements:
- Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
Travel Requirements:
- Less than 40%
