Join Our Team as a Supply Chain Senior Engineer, Mechanical

We are looking for an innovative and talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at KONE Europe Supply Chain. Mechanical engineering team provides customized solutions for elevator Car, Door, Signalisation and Shaft mechanical components.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of engineering the KONE solutions for special customer projects – yes, to the most challenging ones. You’ll have an opportunity to collaborate closely with our engineering teams, KONE R&D, tendering and supply management, production and KONE Front Lines. We expect you to work with the stakeholders and be able to ensure reliable and cost-competitive solutions for our customers.
As a Senior Mechanical engineer, you will work mainly with following topics
- Understanding customer needs and translating them into harmonized, project-level solutions in the role of Chief Design Engineer (CDE)
- Creating solutions with 3D modeling program for customer approval and for manufacturing
- Working as part of cross-functional project teams, and supporting stakeholders throughout the tendering and delivery phase
- Working in development projects for Mechanical engineering team
- Supporting other engineers as well as stakeholders with your technical expertise
Required skills and experience
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent area
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Excellent 3D modeling skills (Creo)
- Self-driven team player with good collaboration, networking and influencing skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to make informed decisions
- Customer service mindset and innovation skills
- Good skills in English
Following skills are an asset
- Experience of Lean, Six sigma and Agile practices and ways of working
- Project management
