Supply Chain S&OE Excellence Lead
Huntsman is seeking a Supply Chain S&OE Excellence Lead supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the PU Global Supply Chain Excellence Sr Manager within the Global Supply Chain leadership team.
Job ScopeThe Supply Chain S&OE Excellence Lead is responsible for driving planning process excellence across all elements of the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process within the Polyurethanes Supply Chain organization. This role focuses on process simplification, standardization, digital enablement, and continuous improvement to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance. The position works cross-functionally to promote planning excellence, support SAP-enabled processes, and implement sustainable operational improvements through analytics, technology, training, and change management.
In summary, as the Supply Chain S&OE Excellence Lead:- Lead process excellence initiatives across the S&OE organization using Lean methodologies, automation, and digital solutions.
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities while improving operational and supply chain performance.
- Drive digitization and technology-enabled improvements aligned with supply chain business objectives.
- Evaluate current planning processes and support the development and implementation of future-state operating models.
- Ensure standardized S&OE processes aligned with global Supply Chain governance and excellence strategies.
- Monitor and improve Supply Planning KPIs, including plan adherence, schedule stability, inventory health, and customer service performance.
- Lead change management initiatives and influence stakeholders across the organization to drive sustainable improvements.
- Coach and develop Supply Planning capabilities through training, mentoring, and best practice implementation.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to enhance planning maturity and operational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
All candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that there may be occasions where additional office days are required, due specific business needs.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of supply chain planning experience, including expertise in Supply Planning and Demand Planning.
- Strong proficiency in SAP ECC, specifically within the PP (Production Planning) and MM (Materials Management) modules, including planning master data management.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or C2).
- Strong planning excellence and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to influence and lead through collaboration rather than formal authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Change management and process transformation capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to challenge existing processes and drive sustainable improvements.
