The Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), and product lifecycle management. The role ensures successful execution of supply chain project plans, achievement of key product milestones, implementation of engineering changes, and effective management of EMS/JDM/ODM manufacturing partners.
The SCPM acts as the primary supply chain interface between Product Management, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure smooth transition from prototype development through mass production. The role also leads engineering change implementation, supplier engagement and performance management, capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination to support product roadmap execution and lifecycle transitions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in bringing next-generation Fixed Networks products, including Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), Home Gateways, and other broadband access solutions, from concept to commercial deployment while ensuring a resilient, efficient, and scalable supply chain throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities- End to End Supply Chain Product/Project Management
- EMS/JDM/ODM suppliers Management : Involvement in vendor selection, new vendor process setup, vendor performance monitoring and quality audit ; Activities coordination from prototype and pilot run production to mass production ramp-up
- NPI activities : Support R&D for prototype boards preparation and production ; Responsible for pilot run production in supplier factory environment, including raw material preparation, vendor AML management, PO treatment, overall control for pilot run production, final pilot run report readiness and review ; Insure final approval for product readiness for volume production, analyse and insure appropriate production capacity implementation with Engineering team
- Activities to mass production : Support for new product ramp-up and hand over to Supply Chain Industrial Management team ; Responsible for any product related support and issues during mass production
- Engineering Change Management : Manage with internal Nokia teams and suppliers the implementation of any product design change from R&D
- Cooperation with BU (Business Unit) : Involved in product roadmap and lifecycle discussion and approval together with BU PLM (Product Line Manager), R&D and Procurement ; Pilot run quantity definition and allocation with PLM and local customer ; PLC (Product Life Cycle) meeting attendance and technical issue discussion ; Support to settle down the LTB material due to EOL (End Of Life) product and E&O (Excess & Obsolete) caused by product phase out and/or customer demand drop
Cooperation inside Supply Chain team : Work with others Supply Chain entities (Demand & Planning, Industrial Management, Quality...) for key projects support, urgent delivery pull-in and customer complain/defect solving
You have:
Education Background
- Bachelor or above, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain and other relevant major
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years relevant working experience
- Experience in project management is a MUST
- Experienced in working in New Product Introduction (NPI) is strongly preferred
- Background in electronics manufacturing environment or experience of EMS/ODM/JDM is strongly desired
- Experienced ONT product management, ONT design and test or supply chain management is an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal are mandatory
- Good English communication is a MUST
- Result oriented and able to deliver commitment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good team work spirit
- Need to travel around 20% of time, mainly to Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia...)
