RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking an Entry to Experienced Level candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Supply Chain Project Engineer

A Supply Chain Project Engineer will support the successful implementation of continuous product improvement initiatives across a global manufacturing and supply chain environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, purchasing, operations, and product support teams to ensure product changes are effectively introduced while minimizing disruptions, inventory risk, scrap, and rework.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the supply chain impact of continuous improvement and product change initiatives.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, operations, quality, and product support teams.
  • Assess and communicate the effects of engineering changes throughout the value chain.
  • Develop and maintain visibility of active and upcoming product improvement projects.
  • Manage component phase-in and phase-out activities across multiple manufacturing and distribution locations.
  • Monitor and communicate implementation timing, inventory impacts, and expected effectiveness dates.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with product changes, inventory obsolescence, scrap, and rework.
  • Gather and maintain component and equipment effectivity information to support implementation planning.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide program status and implementation metrics.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate product support inventory requirements and facilitate stocking requests as needed.
  • Provide guidance and best practices related to supply chain readiness for product changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance implementation effectiveness and reduce value chain disruptions.
  • Participate in occasional visits to manufacturing, supplier, testing, or engineering facilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, project management, or related technical roles.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and product implementation processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Desired Experience

  • Experience supporting engineering change management or product lifecycle management processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, operations, quality, purchasing, and product development functions.
  • Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of inventory planning, material flow, and supply chain optimization practices.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Pay Range: $60,000-$95,000 commensurate with experience
