About the Role
The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating supply chain activities, monitoring inventory across the warehouse network, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and production planning and processing of co-manufacturing/production lines.
Essential Functions
- Planning of production materials across multiple locations/co-manufactures.
- Order processing for co-manufacture and multiple warehouse locations.
- Coordination of materials between the warehouses/production facilities.
- Materials requirement planning review for daily transfers.
- PO management and creation for offsite warehouse locations.
- Freight management across multiple warehouses, considering delivery requirements, lead times, and allergen requirements.
- Identify requirements for order fulfilment, safety stock requirements and new product introductions
- Ensure aged, slow moving, and obsolete inventory action items are addressed timely.
- Optimize production planning, with consideration of Allergens, Sanitization, and Changeover impacts.
- Communicate with Customer Care/update the OCR daily or more often as changes and updates occur.
- Coordinate and manage cycle count program within each warehouse.
- Lead weekly scheduling review with production, maintenance, and quality groups.
- Provide analysis and follow-up to ensure all plant Service, Inventory, and other KPI’s are met or exceeded.
- Become a necessary back up for key roles within the supply chain.
- Attends and participates in daily meetings
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, and distribution) and a superior understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant.
- Strong analytical skills
Training / Certification / Technical
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. APICS Certification is preferred though not required.
