Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain / Procurement Student Associate to join our healthcare organization. This position is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. The successful candidate will support procurement and supply chain functions, gain hands-on experience in purchasing processes, and contribute to projects that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services, including obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
- Support supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and relationship management to ensure quality and compliance.
- Conduct data entry, analysis, and reporting using spreadsheets and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, and operations teams to support procurement strategies aligned with patient care needs.
- Participate in cost analysis, vendor evaluations, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and accreditation standards.
- Provide administrative support, including documentation, records management, and meeting coordination.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to streamline procurement and logistics processes in the healthcare setting.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.
- Interest in developing a career in healthcare supply chain or procurement.
