As a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist – Level 2, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position offers full-time remote work, but preference is that candidate lives near one of NG Space Sector sites: Redondo Beach, CA, Chandler, AZ, Dulles, VA, Huntsville, AL or Baltimore, MD.
Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials and services within the Computer IT Hardware & Software commodities
Execute the procurement process, including but not limited to sourcing, price analysis, Commercial Item Determination and negotiations, following policies and procedures including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Prepare bid packages, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate PO provisions, administer resulting PO and ensure on time delivery
Strong understanding of the federal acquisition thresholds and what level of documentation is required at any given level based on the type of procurement transaction
In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
Manage performance of purchase orders, ensure compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Interface and collaborate with key stakeholders and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
Plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills and organization.
Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed to include invoice reconciliation

Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 2+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or closely related business experience -OR- Master's degree; in lieu of degree, an additional 4 + years of experience may be considered
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to support stretch assignments/project as directed
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward
Understanding of federal acquisition thresholds and documentation requirements
Strong understanding of the procurement process in a government contracting environment
Experience with an MRP system such as SAP or Costpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with low to moderate value and complexity purchases to include single/sole source with source controlled drawings
Experience procuring in an engineering development environment
Experience in Computer IT Hardware & Software commodities with specifications/configurations requirements
Experience leading negotiations with suppliers
Basic comprehension of technical drawings and documents
Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations
