Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist - level 2 to join our Division’s Global Supply Chain team.

This position is based on site for a hybrid role in Dulles, VA. This is not a remote/telecommuting position. No relocation will be provided.

Job Duties: 

  • Support development and execution of material plans by aligning supply requirements with established product line priorities and overall business objectives under guidance from senior planners.

  • Execute demand‑supply planning activities using MRP tools; maintain and analyze forecasts, review purchase‑material positions, and assist in creating capacity and production schedules.

  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels across bills of material (BOMs), helping to balance service levels, working capital, and stock‑out risk in coordination with more senior team members.

  • Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and finance to support alignment on inventory targets, address non‑standard part requirements, and escalate critical‑path procurement issues for resolution.

  • Contribute to long‑term capacity and resource planning by providing data, analyses, and recommendations that support new product introductions and efficient use of existing assets.

  • Develop and present clear supply chain metrics and KPIs (e.g., inventory, on time delivery, material availability) to management, using tools such as Power BI and Tableau to support data driven decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or inventory/material/production planning. Or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience in supply chain or inventory/material/production planning.

  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage demand, supply, and inventory

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) for analyzing demand, inventory, and capacity data

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace/defense or other complex, regulated manufacturing environment

  • Experience using data‑visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau to create reports and dashboards that support decision‑making

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
