As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist – Level 2 or Level 3 located in Oxnard, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team in Oxnard, CA.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
- Track deliveries and oversight from receipt through program close out
- Coordinate outside vendor processing/test
- Oversee RTV of material
- Analyzes demand and determines path forward for fulfilment
- Inventory analysis (shelf life, revalidation, under revision)
- IPT Status reporting
- Report “Buy” part deliverables to need dates & develop mitigation plans with stakeholders where appropriate
- Engagement of appropriate internal and external stakeholders for supplier delivery and quality resolution
- Coordination of scheduling with appropriate stakeholders
- Publication of EBOM as required by site
- Material Master creation and data validation as required by site
- Configuration Control / Change Control Worksheet (CCW) resolution
- Define and manage attrition
- Manage “buy” part performance to organizational metric thresholds and escalate for resolution, as appropriate (Service Level Agreement)
- Demand load, procurement release, Auto PO release for line flow and plant stock
- Enter independent critical demand
- Load target prices in requisitions applicable
- Note and dock date management on PRs and POs for respective suppliers as required by site
- Other duties as assigned
This position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) as well as obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding prior to start date.

- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement or other relevant experience. – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance
- Proficient in Costpoint
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement or other relevant experience. – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement or other relevant experience. – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement or other relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficient in Costpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in PLM systems (Cognos/Teams Center)
- Proficient in SAP
- Previous experience in inventory, manufacturing, procurement, contracts and subcontracts

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
