JOB PURPOSE:
McCain is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Functional Engineer - Supply Chain Planning, reporting to the Director - Technology, Supply Chain Planning. In this role, you will be responsible for delivery of the supply chain planning technology features on the product roadmap. You will play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class solutions through the configuration, testing, training and post-go live support of all of the features, including coordinating with the global and regional business and IT teams, implementation partners, support partners and software vendors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Feature Delivery:

  • Develop clear user stories with acceptance criteria for all features in the backlog and ensure the squad/pod understands the "why" of everything being worked on.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of solutions, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
  • Responsible for directly configuring planning functionality within the Blue Yonder Saas Luminate Platform.
  • Identify the necessary data and test cases required and execute said cases to validate the product is working during Unit Testing and System Integration Testing.
  • Own feature planning, sprint planning and Demo Day for your respective Pod and clear the team of impediments and blockers to achieve their sprint goals and velocity target.
  • Employ Scrum/Agile/SAFe methodologies ensuring efficient delivery and quick response to changing business needs.
  • Develop detailed training materials to support feature roll-out and perform the train-the-trainer of the regional super users and business analysts.


Supply Chain Process Standardization:

  • Work alongside our supply chain process optimization teams to deliver a global template and solution for supply chain planning.
  • Partner with the data governance and business teams to standardized supply chain master data management processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Be data driven and lead the development of insights and intelligence capabilities for supply chain to enrich the decision-making process.


Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Foster strong relationships with the Global and regional supply chain and IT teams
  • Communicate product updates and project milestones effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hold our external technology partners accountable to their delivery commitments (deliverables, timelines, quality)
  • Interlock with neighbouring process and technology teams (e.g. Procurement, Transportation) to deliver fully integrated E2E solutions


Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify and address potential risks to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 7+ years in product ownership, Consulting, Delivery management, or Supply Chain operations/continuous improvement
  • Deep technology expertise in the Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) supply chain planning solutions including Demand, Enterprise Supply Planning (ESP), Fulfillment, Inventory Optimization (IO) and S&OP.
  • Breadth and depth of understanding of supply chain planning processes and reporting.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience managing projects and teams in an agile environment. Formal training is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills including ability to obtain buy-in, leading thoughtful and meaningful discussions and eliciting timely decisions.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment leveraging SAP ECC and/or S/4
  • Experience in the CPG (Food and Beverage) industry is considered an asset.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
