Inside the Role
This role is responsible for analyzing and processing engineering change releases to support production implementations for all Detroit products. Coordinating and leading activity to ensure documentation accuracy, Bill of Material Structure, and effectively resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis with a high level of technical knowledge. This role is also responsible to lead, plan, and coordinate component readiness and launch activities to safeguard implementation of new product and ensure successful start of production. Manage new product bill of material. Ensure part availability for pre-series tryouts through production launch. Focus on digitalization for creation and maintenance of detailed PowerBI tools to support department strategy and goals.Posting Information

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000 – $100,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA
- Compiles and maintains technical documentation such as blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications
- Examines documents to verify completeness and accuracy of data and resolves discrepancies with document originators
- Maintains computerized document control records management system and/or hardcopy documents to ensure compliance with all applicable and required standards, including GMP (good manufacturing practice) and QSR (quality system regulation) requirements
- Develops and maintains procedures and standards for maintaining documents and change control of documents, including document development, approval, production, distribution and amendment
- Plans and directs document and content management life cycles and may work with either structured or unstructured metadata
- Develops and maintains detailed PowerBI reports and tools to support department digitalization strategy and goals
- Document and maintain accurate production bill of material
- Ensure accurate production build book and part consumption
- Initiate D-sample procurement process including initiating RFQs, spot buys, and delivery tracking
- Ensure component parts availability in support of pre-series events
- Organize and maintain warehouse management for launch relevant parts including regular cycle counts
- Facilitate series handover process
- Facilitate loading of forecast for new products
- Support global launch activities including spot buy and shipment of material to partner plants within Daimler Truck AG organization
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & PowerBI
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- High level knowledge of engineering bill of material setup and structure
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Project Management experience
- Proficiency in PTSI, or TruckBoM
- Knowledge and understanding of bill of material structure
