The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations across one or more functional areas, including materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, and order fulfillment. This role ensures that internal and external customer expectations and requirements are consistently met through effective planning, analysis, and execution of supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities- Execute daily supply chain planning activities within assigned functional areas such as materials planning, production scheduling, inventory management, logistics, or order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain planning system strategies to improve planning signals and optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Monitor, review, and adjust planning parameters in supply chain systems to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Use standard processes, tools, and information systems to drive consistent and efficient planning operations.
- Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify performance gaps, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Identify potential supply chain risks, disruptions, or failures and proactively implement mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop short-term tactical improvements and ensure smooth supply chain execution.
- Drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain using planning systems and data-driven insights.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support engineering change management activities, including obsolescence handling, supersession planning, and new part introductions.
