The Role

A Day in the LifeThe supply chain planner role depicts how a finite manufacturing schedule is generated and managed. The workflow follows how a rough-cut capacity plan from the Supply Network Planner is further broken down to a daily production schedule with various touchpoints with other key stakeholders Capacity feasible schedule with frozen horizon to stabilize plan. Ability to generate different production schedules and visualize impact to KPIs.
Production planning for product lines: Consumables and HW/accessories/SP. That includes Forecast, detailed production plan and follow up for CMs.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Analyses, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
  • Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
  • Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
  • Create POs, Work Orders, Sales Orders to Distribution Centers, Shipments and execution follow up.
  • KPIs – Monthly follow up and reporting to management level on KPIs
  • Reports – issue and analyze weekly and monthly reports such as plan vs actual, inventory analysis and take actions to meet the targets.
  • Material follows up – Initiate requisitions, mange shipment to the production floors at the CMs, priorities material for validations, First Article Inspection and NPI
  • Collaborate with Purchasing department and CMs procurement functions.
  • CM material shortages monitoring
  • OTD suppliers, inventory turns, back order, Backlogs and others works independently under Sr Planning supervisor 
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level specialists; may manage projects / processes.
  • Organizational Impact: May be participate for SC projects or processes within job area
  • Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments.
  • Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.
  • Makes improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Industrial Eng degree required 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Communication with global suppliers, global CMs and corporate management level
  • Skills/Competencies: Excellent English, Service oriented, Systemic vision alongside awareness of details
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability for matrix management and working with internal and external interfaces.
  • Speaking and writing in English
  • Advantage: Priority and SAP knowledge Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.
