The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Manager in developing and ensuring effective execution of the processes within the assigned business unit’s supply chains. This position’s responsibilities are to support all supply chain processes, specifically: vendor management, capacity and production, logistics and schedule data integrity. In addition, managing inventory levels and capacity to meet customer service levels and working capital targets for the business is critical. Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Under general direction, ensures that production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and fulfill customer delivery requirements.
  • Oversee materials and inventories of assigned locations.
  • Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Regularly monitor and address Non-Working, Slow-Moving (NWSM) inventory. Resolution may involve: redeployment to another location, re-labeling to a co-spec, obtaining technical approval to consume, vendor return, modifying procurement strategy, etc.
  • Evaluate/incorporate/generate ideas for new SAP technology to improve overall SIPS operations (i.e. forecasting, reorder point, needed reports/capabilities, etc.).
  • Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
  • Ensure the maintenance of production scheduling and recordkeeping in SAP.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

At least 3 years in supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment required.
