Summary:Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating Supply Chain operations. The Director also plans for the uninterrupted purchase of supplies and materials; directs the purchasing function; establishes inventory control strategies, ensures systematic analysis of data and implements group purchasing contracts and conversions.

Required Education:High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Recommended Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.

Required Work Experience:High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. In lieu of a High School Diploma/GED, 9 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Description

1. Directs and manages all purchases and contracts related to supplies and equipment. Manages the purchase, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment will be efficient, cost effective, and aligns with organization metrics and goals for quality patient care. Strategize and implement strong controls to mitigate waste, fraud, abuse.
2.  Directs, plans, organizes, implements, evaluates and manages Supply Chain operations to ensure best practices and process improvements are aligned with organizational goals and performance metrics.
3. Develops data driven improvement processes and apply change management.
4. Manages department budgets from planning to execution of financial goals.
5. Monitors and measures financial performance through key performance indicators and metrics for the department.
6. Manages and monitors the department’s compliance with CMS, Joint Commissions, and other regulatory bodies.
7. Leads and supports ongoing activities that promote a safe environment.
8. Talent Management from hiring, training, performance management, and manages employee’s cycle at Arkansas Children to align with organization goals and performance metrics.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
