The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain execution to meet customer demand, from raw material acquisition through finished goods delivery. This role leads Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Import/Export, and Production Control functions to ensure material availability, inventory optimization, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery in alignment with plant and corporate objectives.
This position reports to the Plant Manager and is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics organization, located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead and execute materials planning, purchasing, warehouse, import/export, and production control activities to support production and customer requirements.
  • Develop and communicate weekly and monthly production and material plans, ensuring visibility and alignment across operations.
  • Optimize inventory levels, supplier performance, and logistics processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement actions across the supply chain using DBS principles.
  • Manage, develop, and assess team performance, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with EHS and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Prepare and manage the department budget and report key performance indicators and results to plant leadership.
The essential requirements of the job:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Long-standing experience in supply chain, materials management, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Long-standing leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams (planning, purchasing, warehouse, logistics).
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MRP II) and advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, materials management, and production planning methodologies (MRP, JIT, Kanban).
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and logistics partners, including import/export and customs processes.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) and professional Spanish communication skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
  • Availability for domestic and international travel as required to support operations and suppliers.
  • Typical work environment is a controlled office and manufacturing setting.
  • Visual and manual effort consistent with standard office and plant environments.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience driving supply chain transformation or cost reduction programs in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
