Responsible for end-to-end supply chain in a manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Materials Management is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels
Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and/or business support staff.  Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals. Ensures employees operate within guidelines. Decisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes and customers.  Interacts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management Interactions normally involve resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects. Gains consensus from various parties involved.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Work with procurement to help with strategic sourcing capabilities, discussing market assessments & supplier negotiations.

  • Global Procurement: Work with advisors to build strong collaboration with Key suppliers and vendors.

  • International Sourcing: Helping advisors and buyers understand import/export requirements & restrictions & lane set-ups.

  • Technology & Systems: Oversee master data for BPCS & SAP UOM issues.  Support optimization of the planning ERP system to improve visibility, efficiency, and data-driven decision making.

  • Logistics Planning: Coordinate the movement of goods from manufacturing to suppliers or customers

  • Shipping & Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

  • OEM Cross functional Collaboration:  Lead monthly meetings with both US and Europe on shipment from plant to DC or RC. Provide documentation and spreadsheets of inventory in transit (MTO Reports).

  • OEM Smiths: Report weekly inventory levels and discuss shipments and backorders.

  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels such as (JIT) or (VMI).

  • Finance: Supporting Finance with transaction data for the E&O spreadsheets.

  • Inventory Take: Support data entry and perform reconciliations before posting final numbers. Training of team members also provided.

  • Sterilization:  Support and prepare regular reports on supply chain performance to document schedule vs production. Send out sterilization reports to sterilization manager once a week.

  • Projects:  Orca, Rebranding-Prop 65, ISO colors, Transformer- Cannula standard to Low cobalt, Heron.

  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the end-to-end planning process.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Anticipated salary range: $130,000 - $150,000
