The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the systems and processes responsible for collecting and validating vehicle orders for all assembly plants that produce vehicles for U.S. market retail consumption. They will collaborate with Auburn Hills Headquarters Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales Field Operations, Brands and Marketing organizations to understand the pricing and packaging that will support vehicle orders from the dealer network.
Responsibilities:
- Developing monthly communications with Business Center area sales managers and dealers to highlight ordering opportunities, scheduling progress, along with plant/component/constraint related updates. This will require the ability to speak in front of large populations of business center, and dealer staff on a monthly basis.
- Lead the monthly BC-wide allocation call.
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives within the order management function to increase vehicle ordering efficiency, accuracy, and market acceptance.
- Support both sales and marketing operations within the Business Center to drive increased velocity on key nameplates that are produced in U.S. focused assembly plants and in U.S. dealership showrooms.
- Support logistics monitoring, which entails working with local rail yards, carriers, and logistics operations personnel to execute timely delivery of product.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or Supply Chain Management, or other relevant degree
- 5+ years of previous OEM Field Sales or Supply Chain positions. Metro Area Sales Manager and Staff experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills including experience presenting information to large groups
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to excel in a team environment
- Proven analytical, problem solving, decision making, and innovation abilities
- Computer proficient – including strong systems knowledge, ability to learn continually changing software.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Chicago, IL
