Supply Chain Manager Role summary:
1. Leadership: Lead the supply chain team to ensure seamless end-to-end service, from processing customer orders to successful delivery.
2. Order Fulfilment: Ensure a smooth transition from order placement to delivery, maintaining optimal inventory levels to support market demand.
3. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the sales department to deliver the best customer experience, and partner with sales and marketing to identify and add new products offering to the catalogue.
4. Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess processes to identify gaps and implement efficiency improvements. Manage operational costs to achieve target EBIT.
5. Customer Service: Deliver a high level of service, with prompt response times and proactive problem-solving to meet customer requests.
6. Inventory Planning & Purchasing: Regularly review safety stock levels to ensure the right stock is maintained to meet market demand, minimizing stock-outs while optimizing warehouse inventory.
7. Warehouse & Transport: Ensure accuracy in inventory and deliveries and maintain on-time delivery performance. Optimize warehouse storage, both internally and externally, while managing relationships with third-party warehouse and transport vendors.
8. Safety: Promote and maintain a high level of safety within the organization, working closely with the safety committee to ensure awareness and compliance.
9. Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and compliance of company facilities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with regional business objectives.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize and align supply chain processes.
3. Manage and optimize logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities in Singapore.
4. Implement effective warehouse management practices to streamline inventory handling, storage, and order fulfilment processes.
5. Conduct regular analysis of supply chain metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
6. Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and procurement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing risks and costs.
7. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and customer demands to proactively address supply chain challenges.
8. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and agility.
Job Requirements – Supply Chain Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within a multinational (MNC) environment.
Strong understanding of logistics, distribution, import/export regulations, and customs compliance practices.
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
Proficient in supply chain principles, including logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Experience working and liaising effectively with regional counterparts in Malaysia, China, and India.
