Main Job Purpose:

Unilever International is one of the fastest growing businesses within Unilever with annual TO greater than Euro 1bn and there are strong plans in place to grow in the next 2-3yrs. Business is structured into different Business Groups and Business Units and this role in particular would lead end to end supply chain for the GCMS cluster (Greater China, Malaysia and Singapore) for UI.

Key job scope includes:

  • Business partnering

  • Customer Service Operations (Order to Deliver)

  • Warehouse Stock Planning

  • Warehouse Logistics Operations

  • Sourcing delivery from GCMS cluster

  • Performance Management

  • Capability Building

Key Accountabilities:

Business partnering:

  • Business partner GCMS business head and be the first point of contact for all supply chain issues for the cluster.

  • Lead the demand review for the respective markets to understand key demand drivers and ensure a rolling 18 month forecast is submitted in line with business growth plans.

  • Work with business teams and customers to improve forecast accuracy and bias for these verticals.

  • Work with BG planning teams to ensure there is enough capacity to support business growth plans and advise on resilience sourcing to customers basis DSR & LTCP discussions with BG teams.

  • Lead the service, cash, cost and quality agenda including designing the right network design to deliver consistent service and optimizing the overall system cost.

Customer Service Operations (Order to Deliver):

  • Defining service/fulfilment strategy for respective customers based on differentiated needs of each customer.

  • Work with Capgemini (off-shore service provider) to ensure all back-end processes in ‘Order to Deliver’ are managed seamlessly to deliver a superior customer experience.

  • Order Capture and Processing

  • Order Delivery

  • Invoicing

  • Documentation sharing on time

  • Master Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy in order processing and invoicing.

  • Be the first point of contact for all customers for supply chain related issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • On-boarding of new customers wrt supply chain related processes.

  • Handle exceptional orders and less than lead time orders as per the strategic needs of the business.

  • Review and process all Supply Chain related claims (damages, demurrage/detention, returns, refusals, etc.). Lead investigation to understand root causes and develop corrective action plans.

Warehouse Stock Planning:

  • Define stock norms in UI GCMS warehouses in line with agreed service strategy and trigger replenishment in line with that.

  • Work closely with sourcing units and UI BU supply chain teams to ensure stocks are dispatched to warehouses in line with requirements.

  • Monitor gap between stock norms and actual stocks and understand reasons for gap.

  • Lead space planning for these warehouses in line with business growth plans and agreed service strategy.

Warehouse Logistics Operations:

  • Managing logistics operations for UI warehouses in Malaysia and Singapore.

  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the warehouse

  • Stock control/accuracy through periodic stock counts

  • Driving a savings program with the 3PL service provider

  • Setting and measurement of 3PL service provider performance KPIs and driving an improvement program.

Sourcing delivery from GCMS cluster

  • Ensure sourcing delivery from all sourcing units and warehouses in the GCMS cluster.

  • Service level and savings delivery in line with targets.

  • Work with UI BG teams to understand growth plans from the sourcing units in the GCMS cluster and flag any upcoming capacity constraints to them.

  • Flag any inventory/business waste risks from the sourcing units due to transition/MoQ issues.

Performance Management:

  • Drive the Service, Cash & Cost Agenda for the business:

  • Service level measurement and improvement through better understanding of losses.

  • Implement Service loss tree and drive action planning to mitigate losses in the future.

  • Drive savings for the business through better distribution network design, reducing business waste due to demurrages/detentions and improved resource productivity in warehousing.

Capability Building:

  • Embrace all Go To Market digital initiatives like Salesforce and Seer and ensure roll out of the relevant platforms to respective business units and customers.

  • Drive ‘Customer Connect Program’ to improve customer experience and satisfaction.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain.

PREFERRED

  • Candidates with APICS certification.

  • Candidates with any logistics certification.

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

  • 7 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain out of which at least 3 to 4 yrs in planning/customer service.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

PREFERRED

  • FMCG experience

  • Candidates with cross border supply chain and logistics experience

Expected Travel: Approximately 20%
