About Ting Labs

Ting Labs is on a mission to help prevent electrical fires and make homes safer. Our breakthrough Ting technology combines an intelligent plug-in sensor with advanced AI and expert service to identify electrical hazards before they can become fires.

With Ting protecting more than 1.3 million homes across North America, we're building a category-defining brand and entering our next stage of growth. Visit tingfire.com for more information.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to own the day-to-day operation of Ting's physical supply chain — from our contract manufacturing partner through our third-party logistics network, Amazon FBA, and returns.

Ting ships a single hardware product at scale, along with a growing set of partner-specific and co-branded packaging. The complexity of this role is breadth, not catalog: you will be the operational owner across every node where a Ting sensor is built, stored, shipped, or received, and the person who knows at any moment where inventory is and whether the numbers agree.

This is an execution role with real ownership. Our fulfillment integrations, inventory tooling, ERP, and vendor relationships are established; we need someone who can step in, run them well, tighten what's loose, and make the processes behind them repeatable. You will work closely with Product Operations, Engineering, Finance, and our external partners, and you will have a clear path to expanded scope as the function grows.

The role reports to the Director of Product Operations and is part of the Product Operations team.

What You'll Do:

  • 3PL network operations. Serve as the day-to-day owner of our third-party logistics partners across multiple fulfillment nodes. Monitor fulfillment performance, inventory accuracy, and SLA adherence; run recurring partner cadences; and drive resolution of fulfillment failures, receiving discrepancies, and shipping exceptions. Support onboarding of new nodes and allocation rules as the network expands.
  • Inventory management. Own inventory visibility across manufacturer, 3PL nodes, Amazon, and returns. Maintain reorder points and safety stock, reconcile WMS, internal systems, and ERP inventory, and investigate variances to root cause. Maintain serial-level integrity as units move through the network.
  • Contract manufacturing coordination. Act as the operational point of contact for our manufacturing and processing partner. Manage purchase orders and receipt confirmation, coordinate inbound freight, track production against the demand plan, and run the standing partner agenda covering returns processing and FBA prep.
  • Amazon FBA. Plan and execute FBA replenishment against Amazon inventory limits, create shipment plans, coordinate prep and labeling with partners, and reconcile FBA inventory to our system of record.
  • Returns and reverse logistics. Own returns end-to-end — both the physical flow and the internal returns product behind it. On the physical side: carrier intake through processing and disposition (refurbish, restock, or scrap) with serial continuity intact. On the product side: the RMA workflow, carrier returns integration, automation rules, and the data that flows back to Product Operations and Support. Identify where the returns experience breaks for customers or partners, define the fix, and work with Product Operations engineering to ship it.
  • Packaging and co-branded materials. Manage packaging vendors and the quote-to-order cycle for mailers, inserts, and partner-specific materials. Maintain a bill of materials for each packaging variant, set min/max levels at each node, and ensure the correct pack-out is applied to the correct order profile.
  • Freight and documentation. Coordinate inbound, transfer, and outbound freight; manage bills of lading, carrier selection, and freight audit; and resolve claims.
  • ERP and process ownership. Serve as the supply chain business owner in NetSuite — item master, locations, transfer orders, inventory adjustments, and landed cost — and keep inventory data in the system of record aligned with operational reality. Document processes, define tolerances, and turn monitoring habits into owned, repeatable workflows.

What We're Looking For:

  • Hands-on 3PL and inventory experience. 4+ years in supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or inventory operations at a DTC or hardware company, or on the client-operations side of a 3PL. You have been the person a 3PL hears from when something goes wrong.
  • ERP experience preferred. Working experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP for inventory, purchasing, and transfers. If you have not used NetSuite specifically, you have used a comparable system daily and can learn a new one quickly.
  • Vendor coordination. Experience working directly with a contract manufacturer, co-packer, or processing partner — chasing a late PO, running a weekly production call, resolving a quality or receiving issue. Serialized hardware experience is a plus.
  • Reconciliation mindset. You are comfortable in spreadsheets and data exports, you notice when two systems disagree, and you run the discrepancy to ground rather than noting it.
  • Process and systems thinking. You see returns, inventory, and fulfillment as workflows that can be instrumented and improved, not just tasks to complete. You can write a clear requirement for an internal tool or automation and validate it once it's built.
  • Initiative and ownership. You can name a process you built that other people now follow. You engage with a messy situation rather than waiting for a cleaner brief, and you know when to resolve something directly versus escalate it.
  • Clear communication. You write the email that tells a partner what went wrong and what you expect, and you keep internal stakeholders informed without being asked.
  • Remote-ready. You have managed vendors and cross-functional work in a fully remote environment and are comfortable being the single point of contact for external partners.
  • Amazon FBA experience is a plus. Experience creating FBA shipment plans, managing replenishment against inventory limits, or reconciling Amazon inventory to internal records is helpful but not required.

Why Join Us?

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking technology that is creating a new category while helping to protect families, homes, and communities from the devastating impacts of electrical fires. We are a passionate team, dedicated to revolutionizing fire prevention to make the world a safer place. Our pace and growth trajectory offer exceptional opportunities for professional development, and we offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. If you want to take ownership, shape strategy, and drive meaningful change, you’ll love Ting Labs.

  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP for inventory, purchasing, and transfers
  • Experience working directly with a contract manufacturer, co-packer, or processing partner
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, data exports, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation
  • Process and systems thinking, including writing requirements for internal tools or automation
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of repeatable operational processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors and cross-functional work in a fully remote environment
