Supply Chain Manager
Location: Taiwan
Reports to: COO
Own Forge Nano’s global supply chain strategy, supplier performance, cost structure and material availability to ensure on-time delivery, margin discipline and scalable readiness for Tephra 200 mm and 300 mm platforms.
This role is accountable for eliminating supply risk, managing supplier quality, and enabling Taiwan JDM scale while protecting IP and delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development
- Define sourcing strategy for all critical subsystems and long-lead components
- Eliminate single points of failure through dual sourcing
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and LTA negotiations
- Own supplier readiness for EVT/DVT/PVT and ramp
Supplier Quality & Performance
- Establish supplier performance scorecards (OTD, PPM, SCAR closure)
- Drive root cause and corrective actions for supplier defects
- Support audits (ISO, safety, export control readiness)
- Preventing field escapes and repeat defects
Cost & Commercial Management
- Own BOM cost targets and cost-down roadmaps
- Manage NRE, tooling, price breaks, and volume commitments
- Control FX exposure and supplier pricing drivers
- Enforce cost-neutral ECO discipline (≥90%)
Materials Planning & Logistics
- Own material availability for production schedules
- Manage inventory, safety stock, and turns
- Coordinate global logistics and customs
- Prevent line stops and emergency expedites
DM / Taiwan Scale Support
- Support JDM partners in Taiwan and SEA
- Enforce firewall and IP access controls
- Ensure U.S. fallback sourcing continuity
- Drive 300 mm supplier readiness and long-lead planning
Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years of semiconductor equipment or high-tech manufacturing SCM experience
- Proven global sourcing & supplier negotiation background
- Experience with JDM / contract manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, ECO governance, and cost control
- Ability to operate cross-region (U.S.–Taiwan)
Education & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
- Supply Chain Management
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Business Administration (with technical supply chain focus)
Preferred Advanced Education
- Master’s Degree (strongly preferred) in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations Management
- Engineering Management
- MBA with Operations / Global Supply Chain concentration
Work Environment
When working in a manufacturing area, the employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, and in the plant, a hard hat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Compensation
• Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 USD per year, depending on experience
