JOB PURPOSE: 

As Procurement Finance Lead for Europe, UKI and ANZ, you will be the financial partner to procurement function, ensuring strategy and spend are backed by insightful financial planning and analysis. Your role is crucial in supporting buying strategies, managing impact of inflation on Materials costs and driving efficiencies in the Portfolio. By working closely with procurement, you will co-lead initiatives that drive gross margin delivery and propel our business forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement Leadership

  • Business Partner head of Procurement and his full team (direct, indirect, Capex) as well as supply chain leadership team and the business unit CFO

  • Co-lead the transformation program in Procurement, where we redesign material cost base and build and drive initiatives to deliver savings.

  • Work with the buyers on how to deliver more savings (specs, simplify, tail, leverage) and improve payment terms

  • Set and drive financial scorecard related to Procurement activities (NMCI, CMA, NMI, CPT, FAG, Mat Cost % TO) as well as supplier scorecards

Material Inflation & Savings

  • Lead and coordinate material price forecasting and transfer pricing processes

  • Prepare robust analysis of material cost variance versus prior year and forecast and drive high forecast accuracy.

  • Control the Materials spend and pro-actively challenge and improve the Materials inflation and savings plan for each category

Forecast & business Support:

  • Keep clear visibility on latest proc fcst across SC leadership and BG leadership and full clarity what is included and what not.

  • Deliver strong forecast accuracy on inflation, incurred (projected) savings, operational costs, fx and recognition of this into the P&L 

  • Lead the analysis of business impact in commodity changes, specs changes in order to drive the right prioritization and best action plan.

  • Upgrade PPV reporting and ensure detailed analyses of actual price vs forecast vs TP.

  • Understand hedging and hedge accounting well and pro-actively challenge the CRM team on recommended strategies.

  • Track all savings initiative separately & support the business on the review and execution (also custom fees, PL savings, other costs)

Transfer Prices:

  • Lead the TP setting within the region, ensuring correct allocations are made and trigger the right incentives/behaviours in the markets and provide comprehensive insights to the markets on the impact

  • Validate TP’s, ensure correct reflections across all SKU’s and markets and Build up TP capabilities. We need to strengthen the process and build up these capabilities as standalone organization.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, analyze and coordinate financial risks mitigation related to procurement activities.

  • Provide support for internal and external audit requirements.

People management

  • Ensure team member has the required skills and competencies to do their roles through providing support, coaching, development and mentoring.

  • Responsible to create a collaborative working environment within and across the team and supporting functions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance, with preferrable experience of at least 4 years in procurement Finance.

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and cost management.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and ERP systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
