What You’ll Do

· Act as the technical authority within the procurement team evaluating suppliers based on manufacturing capability aerospace standards and production maturity

· Work hands on with suppliers during part development and industrialization ensuring designs are robust manufacturable and ready for series production

· Review and challenge manufacturing processes tooling choices materials and tolerances to optimize cost quality and lead time

· Translate engineering drawings specifications and requirements into clear actionable supplier documentation

· Support make or buy decisions by assessing technical feasibility production risks and cost drivers

· Lead technical discussions with suppliers during RFQs supplier selection and contract award phases

· Drive cost reduction initiatives through design for manufacturability value engineering and process optimization

· Collaborate closely with design engineering production quality and supply chain teams to align technical and commercial objectives


Requirements

What You’ll Need

Must-Have

· Engineering degree in mechanical, aerospace, industrial or a related field

· 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments with direct exposure to production and industrialization.

· Proven track record working with suppliers on technical topics including manufacturing processes materials and cost optimization

· Strong ability to read interpret and challenge technical drawings specifications and tolerances

· Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining sheet metal composites or assembly

· Experience supporting supplier qualification audits first article inspections and production ramp ups

· Ability to identify cost drivers and lead design for manufacturability and value engineering initiatives

· Comfortable leading technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders

· Experience working in regulated environments with strict quality and documentation requirements

· Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset in production driven settings

· English and Dutch fluency since it's our working language.
