Purpose of Job:
Serve as the senior strategist and leader for the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring efficiency, cost effectiveness, compliance, and strong alignment with business objectives. Own demand and supply planning, procurement, logistics, and distribution performance to enable reliable product flow from suppliers to customers, supporting profitable growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the supply chain strategy (procurement, planning, logistics, distribution) in alignment with corporate goals and market growth plans.
- Lead S&OP/IBP cadence with Commercial, Finance, QA/RA, and Operations to deliver accurate demand plans, supply commitments, and inventory targets.
- Oversee international logistics and trade compliance: import/export regulations, permits/licences, customs brokerage, and country health-authority requirements.
- Build resilience and risk management: identify disruption risks (supply, quality, capacity, geopolitical), set mitigation plans, safety-stock policies, and multi-sourcing strategies.
- Develop supplier strategies: selection, segmentation, contract/price negotiations, performance management (OTIF, quality, cost, service), and long-term partnerships aligned to sustainability and ESG goals.
- Drive operational excellence using lean principles, standard work, and automation; implement best practices to improve service, reduce cost-to-serve, and shorten lead times.
- Own inventory health: set policy by segment/shelf-life; manage slow/non-moving and obsolescence; optimise working capital while safeguarding service levels.
- Lead ERP and digital capabilities (planning, procurement, WMS, TMS, analytics dashboards) to enhance end-to-end visibility and decision speed.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, GDPMD, and relevant MDA/health-authority requirements; uphold documentation and audit readiness.
- Oversee recall/traceability readiness; support product recall activities and CAPA effectiveness as required.
- Review and approve quality and supply chain policies/SOPs and controlled documents.
- Set, review, and act on KPIs and analytics: forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns/ageing, cost-to-serve, freight spend, supplier scorecards, and quality metrics.
- Sponsor process-improvement and cost-reduction projects (network, freight, sourcing, automation) with clear business cases and ROI tracking.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain team; build bench strength, clear accountabilities, and a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or Life Sciences).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics industries.
- Strategic thinking with proven leadership and people management; able to scale teams and capabilities.
- Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep knowledge of ERP/analytics (planning, procurement, inventory, WMS/TMS) and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent organisational, planning, presentation, and communication skills; comfortable with C-suite and external partners.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability; continuous-improvement mindset (lean/Kaizen; Six Sigma exposure a plus).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, GDPMD, and medical device logistics/compliance; sound understanding of product and shelf-life considerations.
- High integrity, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong command of written and spoken English.
Skills Required
