Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading Holley Performance Brands' global procurement operations and inventory planning strategy to ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the optimal total cost.
This leader oversees strategic sourcing, supplier performance, purchasing execution, inventory planning, and replenishment across a global supplier network. Working closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Product Management, Finance, Transportation, and Fulfillment, the Director balances customer service, working capital, and supply continuity while supporting profitable growth.
The successful candidate combines strategic sourcing expertise with advanced inventory planning capabilities to build a resilient supply chain, improve supplier partnerships, optimize inventory investment, and develop scalable planning processes that support Holley's expanding product portfolio.
This position can be based in our Nashville, TN office or our New Braunfels, TX office and will require approximately 20% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing- Lead enterprise purchasing activities across domestic and international suppliers.
- Develop sourcing strategies optimizing total landed cost, quality, lead time, and risk.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and long-term contracts.
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships and scorecards.
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management on supplier selection and new product launches.
- Lead inventory planning across distribution centers and manufacturing locations.
- Develop stocking policies, safety stock methodologies, and replenishment parameters.
- Monitor inventory health including excess and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure material availability supports sales demand and production schedules.
- Improve forecast consumption and replenishment accuracy.
- Lead supplier business reviews and corrective actions.
- Monitor supplier delivery, quality, capacity, and responsiveness.
- Develop dual-source and business continuity strategies.
- Partner in the monthly S&OP process.
- Align purchasing and inventory plans with demand forecasts.
- Support seasonal demand, promotions, and new product launches.
- Lead and develop buyers, planners, and procurement managers.
- Build succession plans and performance objectives.
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement.
- Deliver annual cost savings initiatives.
- Manage procurement budgets.
- Partner with Finance on working capital and inventory valuation.
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Improve ERP/MRP planning processes.
- Implement supplier collaboration tools and KPI dashboards.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain leadership.
- 5+ years leading purchasing and planning teams.
- Success negotiating supplier agreements and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Strong global sourcing and supplier relationship management experience.
- Deep knowledge of ERP, MRP, inventory planning, and replenishment.
- Advanced Excel and BI reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Automotive aftermarket or manufacturing experience.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification.
- CPSM certification.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- ERP or APS implementation experience.
- Global sourcing and tariff management experience.
- Acquisition integration experience.
