Provide leadership to lead and train subordinates and vendors/factories to comply company’s quality procedure, requirements and standard, ensure high consistency and accuracy. Liaise with Headquarter for quality project and improvement plan.
Job Overview
This position will report directly to Supervisor, Supply Chain. The primary responsibility of this position is to be a liaison to our suppliers and regions focusing on purchase order placement and management, InforNexus (supplier and transportation collaboration tools) support, and supplier performance metric communication as it pertains to purchase orders, deliveries, and accuracy of dates.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Primary user contact for any InforNexus user or technical issues
• Create purchase orders from system-driven purchasing requisitions, sales orders, and offline plans
• Assist with open purchase orders and follow up on past due or delayed receipts with Suppliers, Receiving, and/or Freight Forwarders
• Help to develop key performance metric reporting for suppliers and lead discussions with suppliers about performance improvement
• Participate in the monthly supplier scorecard review process and assist with any necessary support to effectively evaluate supplier performance
• Follow up with suppliers and maintain accurate purchase order delivery schedules
• Coordinate with key suppliers by reviewing and processing change proposals through our PO collaboration tool
• Communicate purchase order expedite, reschedule, or cancel requests based on Global Fulfillment Planner guidance
• Follow up with vendor about shipment status, past due lines weekly
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Receiving, and Supplier issues concerning purchase order data accuracy
• Creation of PIRs and updating of pricing on POs as necessary
• May occasionally cover duties of others within the department in special circumstances
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze detail and perform structured decision-making on a daily basis.
• Attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
• Sufficient knowledge of industry practices, standards, and techniques. Will be required to regularly apply planning principles and concepts in daily execution of duties.
• Ability to work well with others in a cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to travel to suppliers for the purpose of training
• Must be capable of managing several priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives.
• Experience with SAP skills thorough knowledge of all relevant SAP reporting, ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for effective management reporting and presentation.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum 1 years in a distribution, planning and/scheduling environment, supply chain experience
