  • Conduct a gap analysis to identify missing, outdated, or incorrect HTS code entries and tariff rate records across NA accounts.

  • Develop a tariff exposure summary report organized by account and commodity category, highlighting high-exposure areas by cost.

  • Draft a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for ongoing tariff database maintenance to establish a repeatable, documented update process.

  • Integrate updated tariff data with FII's custom compliance system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.

  • Present findings and recommendations to SCPM and SCM leadership, demonstrating project outcomes and business impact.

REQUIRED SKILLS & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables for database management and analysis.

  • Ability to navigate and research the USITC HTS Online database (hts.usitc.gov) for HTS code lookup and validation.

  • Familiarity with USTR Section 301, Section 232, and other tariff reference lists for applied rate lookup.

  • Basic experience with SAP or other ERP systems for pulling procurement and part number data is a plus.

  • Microsoft Word proficiency for documentation, SOP writing, and report preparation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder updates and final presentation delivery.

  • Basic data analysis skills; ability to organize, cross-reference, and validate large datasets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Responds to change as a positive challenge

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially when working with compliance-sensitive information.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented mindset.
