MAIN PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP:
Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party or his delegates and in close collaboration with technical teams in SCS Project, the Supply Chain and Pharmacy Service Intern will provide programmatic and administrative support to the pharmaceutical management lead and supply chain lead with the broader SCS Activity team involvement and a focus on understanding the subject matter, event scheduling, preparing activity budgets, documentation, financial settlement support, tracking of deliverables, and knowledge management. The internship is designed as a capacity-building opportunity, enabling the intern to gain practical exposure to pharmaceutical service delivery, supply chain management, and project implementation while contributing meaningfully to project effectiveness and accountability.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specifically, the Supply Chain and Pharmacy Service Intern is expected to carry out the following responsibilities:
Understanding the technical scope of the project
- Supply chain technical assistance interventions such as supply chain and pharmacy services maturity, digitization, workforce development, leadership in supply chain, upstream and downstream technical supports, supply chain and pharmacy services contexts including government strategic documents.
Documentation and Knowledge Management
- Support preparation, organization, and filing of technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy documentation.
- Take and document meeting minutes, action points, and follow-ups.
- Support documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
Deliverables Tracking and Reporting Support
- Track team deliverables against work plans.
- Maintain activity and reporting trackers.
- Support compilation of routine reports.
- Assist with document quality checks and version control.
Finance and Administrative Support
- Support in logistics arrangement for meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Support preparation of activity budgets, advance requests , and finance settlement documentation.
- Track in reviewing, submission and clearance of settlement documents.
Coordination and Communication Support
- Support internal and external coordination and scheduling.
- Maintain contact lists and communication records.
- Prepare meeting agendas and briefing notes.
Learning and Capacity Development
- Participate in internal meetings and training.
- Learn about maturity, IPLS, APTS, LMIS, and pharmacy service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field.
- 2024/2025 University graduates from the recognized university.
- Strong interest in pharmaceutical services and supply chain management.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Amharic and English
