Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain for GPP (Global Paper Products) North America, as a Business Analytics and Data Analyst you will be responsible for managing and creating Supply Chain performance and tracking analysis, visualizations operations reports, for the integrated industrial supply chain in North America. This position is responsible for the effectiveness of analytic displays, interfaces, and methodologies. This position also ensures the accuracy, distribution, and integrity of the data used in the analytics.
What you’ll be doing:
Enabling Business Improvements through Analytics and Metrics Visualization:
- Build and edit dashboards catered to GPP NA’s Supply Chain and other business functions KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) - blending data sources where required
- Leverage the latest reporting technology to develop sophisticated dashboards that provide thought-provoking insights and enhance the visibility of supply chain data
- Develop and maintain business analytics applications to visualize and utilize supply chain data.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports for key stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Working as a key team member and analytics leader:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure the business analytics solutions meet business needs.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data-related projects to optimize supply chain operations.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvements to data analysis and reporting processes across area of responsibility
Leading business analysis
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, contributing to improved supply chain, operations, and overall business performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead data mining as required for accurate analysis and reporting.
Improving our analytics capabilities
- Ensure availability of insights (information, analysis, and analytics tools) to all levels of the organization as needed
- Evaluate, implement, and deploy new tools to assist in data analytics, root cause analysis, performance management, exception identification, correlational and casual relationships, and other aspects of data analysis
Managing, monitoring and improving critical data and processes
- Monitor data quality and integrity, proactively addressing data issues and inconsistencies.
- Coordinate data maintenance required for ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning), Logistics systems, planning systems, scheduling systems or other systems (supplier, item, commodity code, etc.).
- Develop and conduct routine data audits to verify data accuracy. Identify and address root causes of problems with data integrity.
- Work closely with our Corporate IT (Information Technology) and Datawarehouse departments to set and manage the data environment in support of advanced analytics
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in beautiful Hartsville, SC and close to exciting destinations (Myrtle Beach, SC Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC).

- Ability to learn, understand, and deploy new reporting and analysis tools
- Experience creating meaningful data visualizations
- Strong use and understanding of data visualization, extraction, and/or analysis tools, preferably with at least 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are needed to interact with various levels within the company.
- This position will require advanced computer skills with the ability to quickly master emerging technologies.
- Proven experience in Power BI development (required).
- SQL experience (preferred).
- Java experience (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management (Demand Planning or Supply and Inventory Planning) or Logistics experience to understand terminology and philosophy and how the data can translate into results – considered a “plus”
Compensation:
Specialist I - Supply Chain Analytics: The annual base salary range for this role is from $51,040 to $57,420
Specialist II - Supply Chain Analytics: The annual base salary range for this role is from $62,560 to $70,380
Specialist III- Supply Chain Analytics: The annual base salary range for this role is from $80,320 to $90,360
