Job Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Supply Chain Planning team members. They are responsible for updating and maintaining accurate key planning fields on a timely basis as well as communicating the impact on the overall Supply Chain. This role will develop reports and provide recommendations to the Supply Chain Planning team based on thresholds established in coordination with the Supply Planning Managers.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepares and provides weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly assessment for key planning fields to Supply Chain Planning Managers.
- Generates and maintains reports for Safety Stock change opportunities in coordination with Supply Chain planning team.
- Provides analytical support for MAPE analysis and Demand Planning best practices.
- Evaluates lead time changes using historical performance as well as evaluate impact of change within the planning system.
- Owner of Chinese New Year supply planning implementation timeline, evaluates impact on inventory, and updating the planning system.
- Provides analytical support for reviewing Excess and Obsolete in coordination with Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, Marketing, and Distribution.
- Works with Hillman and application IT groups to drive issue resolution and enhancements for continuous improvement.
- Prepares and provides weekly reports on Inventory and evaluates trends by various hierarchies to support decisions within the Supply Chain Planning teams.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and participate on teams as needed.
- Develops process to run service level simulation analysis and provides platform for synopsis of results.
- Supports and drives planning optimization working with supply, demand, and operations team.
- Provides direction on service level planning for the creation of the supply plan process and validate performance vs. plan.
- Develops metrics for planning data integrity and accuracy, service, and inventory metrics.
- Supports and manages network optimization of inventory including analysis of excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory.
- Drives continuous improvement, diagnoses root cause in the pursuit of efficiency and service improvement.

Education & Experience
- Preferred BS/BA and 2-4 years' experience
- Or Required BS/BA and 0-3 years' experience
- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing and sourcing environment.
- Supply Chain experience within retail distribution sector preferred.
- Experience with complex logistics planning, transportation, and forecasting.
